Ameritox Hires Regina Morano as New Corporate Compliance Officer and Vice President

Veteran in compliance and ethics will drive continued advancement of compliance program

BALTIMORE, MD – April 25, 2011 – In its ongoing commitment to compliance and ethics, Ameritox, the leader in pain medication monitoring solutions, has hired Regina G. Morano, J.D., CHC, as its new Corporate Compliance Officer & Vice President. Morano is an attorney with more than 15 years of compliance, regulatory and ethics experience in the healthcare industry, most recently as Vice President of Legal & Regulatory Affairs & General Counsel for Thompson Health, where she established, implemented and led a corporate compliance program within a large community health system.

Morano is tasked with continuing to build Ameritox’s compliance and ethics program, which is an integral part of the organization’s ability to provide superior support to clinicians while adhering to applicable laws and the highest ethical standards.

Prior to her experience with Thompson Health, Morano was the Senior Legal Counsel for Regulatory Affairs and Compliance with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Inc., serving as the primary legal and compliance advisor to leadership of corporate compliance, Medicare and Medicaid divisions, HIPAA privacy and corporate data security. Morano also has experience as Special Counsel for Regulatory Affairs & Compliance with MVP Healthcare, Inc. and was the Ethics Officer for the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board.

Morano is also Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association.
