    As soon as the child was born, she was taken from her mother. Both were addicted to heroin, Clermont County officials said. The girl weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces that day in 2009, but her weight dropped as she coped with tremors while withdrawing from the drug over the next couple weeks.

    State survey reveals youth’s drug, sexual habits

    The results of the latest Healthy Youth Survey, which is voluntarily taken every two years by thousands of Washington students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 in more than 1,000 public schools, were released today. The survey asks teens about drug, alcohol, and tobacco use; gangs; physical activity; suicide; bullying; and more. For the first time, the 2010 survey inquired about sexual activity.
