National Sales Trainer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality. Other duties may be assigned.

Design, develop and implement comprehensive annual sales training that supports the sales objectives of the organization. Subject matter expert for enhancing, leading and delivering training to both inside and outside sales teams. Monitors effectiveness of training techniques and suitability of training programs. Establishes key performance metrics for individuals and programs.

The National Trainer is responsible for ensuring that consistent, high quality training is implemented for the field sales team. This position will participate in the development and facilitation of training programs and integrate new and existing best practices.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Develop and deliver initial, enhanced, and ongoing training programs in support of a 200+ sales and sales management healthcare services organization
  • Plan departmental/functional training budgets, forecast costs required by organizational planning and budgeting systems
  • Assess relevant training needs for staff individuals and organization, in consultation with departmental heads, including assessment methods and measurement systems entailed
  • Stay informed of goals, policies, and procedures as well as relevant skill and qualifications levels required by staff for effective performance; and circulate requirements and relevant information to the organization as appropriate
  • Provide input to organizational strategy and plans to meet training and development needs and manage training assessment, design, delivery, measurement and follow-up as necessary
  • Design and deliver training courses and programs necessary to meet training needs, or manage this activity via external provider(s)
  • Organize training venues, logistics, transport, accommodation as required to achieve efficient training attendance and delivery
  • Arrange for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training
  • Coordinate training support efforts across functional lines
  • Partner and coordinate with regional sales training team to meet training objectives
  • Ensure all training activities and materials meet with relevant organizational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws
  • Monitor and report on activities, costs, effectiveness/performance, etc, as required.
  • Develop self, and maintain knowledge in relevant field at all times
  • Act as liaison between the Field, Training Department and Corporate, participating in the Market Advisory Board, updating training materials, and making recommendations for Marketing tools/resources and other field related issues
  • Take the lead on key launch and training of sales initiatives nationally; and be a regional contact for such and assist in training seminars around such as needed
  • Deliver presentations at District/Regional/and National Meetings (as needed)
  • Adhere to confidentiality (HIPAA) requirements (patient files and personal information)
  • EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experienced Ameritox employee with field based management, sales, project leadership, and training experience preferred
    • OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Develop and lead large group training sessions, conference calls, third party training programs, and various national/regional initiatives
      • Demonstrates effective cross-department communication and issue resolution. Models and encourages collaboration while maintaining a results orientation. Able to facilitate company-wide projects. Demonstrates excellent communication, prioritization, time management, and analytical skills
      • Competent with a variety of training concepts, practices, and procedures
      • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Driven to achieve aggressive goals and objectives. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

      OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS

      • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, translate technical information into appropriate learning segments, facilitate activities and respond to questions from trainees, groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
      • Mathematical: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
      • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
      • Computer: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of capable of performing PC applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Familiarity with e-learning development and remote training delivery technologies preferred.

      • Employee must be able to travel as needed, with occasional evening, weekend or repetitive requirements.
