About Ameritox

Ameritox Ltd. was originally founded in 1996 as Universal Toxicology Laboratories (UTL), a federally certified urine drug testing facility and medical examiner toxicology laboratory. In 2003, UTL identified clinicians’ growing need for a more detailed way of monitoring pain medication use in chronic pain patients.

In just over a decade, Ameritox has processed close to two million samples and grown to become the nation’s largest provider of laboratory based, pain medication monitoring solutions. Our superior laboratory services have also earned our laboratory numerous industry certifications.

The Ameritox management team includes some of the industry’s most respected scientists, clinicians, researchers and business leaders. Under this leadership, Ameritox is advancing the pain medication monitoring industry and continues to invest in new approaches to pain medication monitoring solutions.

Ameritox is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, with its primary laboratory in Midland, Texas. As more and more physicians look to Ameritox for vital information and assurance, we are expanding our capabilities. A second lab is currently under construction in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is further evidence of how Ameritox pain medication monitoring solutions are fast becoming an integral part of the best chronic pain care.
