Ameritox: Exceeding National Standards

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) has identified seven fundamental elements to an effective corporate compliance program. Ameritox’s compliance program meets, and even exceeds, these national standards. Ameritox’s compliance program includes:

  • Written compliance policies and procedures
  • A designated Compliance Officer and Compliance Committee
  • Effective training and education
  • Effective lines of communication
  • Internal monitoring and auditing
  • Enforcement of compliance standards through well-publicized disciplinary guidelines
  • Assurance of a prompt response to detected problems through corrective actions

In 2010, Ameritox entered into a Corporate Integrity Agreement with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) of the US Department of Health and Human Services.  Under the Corporate Integrity Agreement, Ameritox business practices are monitored and guided by an internal compliance committee, independent external reviewer and the Federal government.

Through independent third-party audits, ongoing employee compliance training and strict adherence to all Federal and State laws, Ameritox has demonstrated its commitment to upholding all regulatory, legal and ethical standards and to helping our partners in healthcare do the same.
