Physician charged with illegally dispensing pain killers

A New Berlin physician illegally gave large levels of pain-killing narcotics to a nurse who worked for his clinics in Germantown, according to a federal criminal complaint.
Roger A. Pellmann, 55, is charged with dispensing Fentanyl without a legitimate medical purpose. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Pellmann appeared before a federal magistrate last week and is free on a signature bond. He cannot prescribe Schedule II narcotics while his case is pending.
