Stopping drug abuse’s priority for Florida attorney general

The growth of illegal and fraudulent pill mills, and the drug pushers who operate them, is a growing criminal enterprise in our state that must be stopped. While legitimate pain clinics do exist to treat those with chronic pain or terminal illnesses, unscrupulous clinics, or “pill mills,” merely serve as drug traffickers. These clinics typically do not accept insurance, require little or no medical records and provide large prescription doses of narcotics that exceed the boundaries of acceptable medical care.
